I am a dedicated tutor reading Optometry at Cardiff University. At A-Levels, I studied Biology, Chemistry, and English Literature and have particularly retained an interest in learning and teaching Biology and English. I have tutored in English Literature throughout college and university with students of varying age ranges and abilities. As someone who is passionate about learning and continuously expanding my knowledge, I enjoy teaching as it not only allows me to share my passion but to also, develop my skills as a tutor.
As a tutor, I like to reflect on my own experiences as a student and my peers to ensure that my style of teaching is engaging, and motivating and provides a steady path for progression. Also, I like to welcome feedback to constantly adapt and improve my style of teaching and ensure that every student feels comfortable to ask for extra support. My style of teaching varies based on different student requirements but always involves examples that I like to break down with students, resources on how to plan and answer questions, extra resources for students who want to aim for higher grades, and reflection on what the student has learned and what they would like to improve on for the next lesson.
