Curriculum Overview for Maths Key Stage 1

  • Numbers

    Understanding and using numbers, counting, reading, and writing numbers up to 100, and basic calculations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Number Bonds

    Learning number bonds to 10 and 20, and beginning to understand place value.

  • Shapes

    Recognising and naming common 2D shapes (e.g., squares, rectangles, circles) and 3D shapes (e.g., cubes, pyramids).

  • Measurements

    Introduction to measuring length, weight, capacity, and time, and beginning to understand and use money.

  • Data Handling

    Simple data interpretation using pictograms, tally charts, and basic tables.
