Hello! My name is Samit, and I’m passionate about helping students reach their full potential in their studies. I recently graduated from UCL with a degree in Biomedical Sciences, and I currently work in the financial regulatory sector. Despite my professional role, I have continued tutoring as there’s nothing quite like seeing the satisfaction on a student’s face when they grasp a challenging concept.
I specialize in teaching Maths and Sciences up to A-level (though I teach Physics only up to GCSE), as well as 11+ exam preparation. Having successfully passed the 11+ myself, I understand the challenges and expectations of this process firsthand. I aim to help students not only develop the skills they need to excel in their exams but also build their confidence and resilience along the way.
Beyond teaching content, my goal is to equip students with the tools they need to learn and revise effectively. Whether it’s creating structured revision schedules, breaking down large concepts into manageable chunks, or developing active learning strategies, I want to help students build lifelong learning skills that go far beyond their current studies. These techniques ensure that my students are well-prepared not only for their upcoming exams but also for future academic challenges.
In the group lessons I teach, I focus on creating an engaging and collaborative environment where students feel comfortable sharing their questions and ideas. I tailor lessons to suit the pace and needs of the group, ensuring every student is supported and inspired to learn. Whether it’s working through tricky equations, exploring biological concepts, or preparing for the 11+, I’m here to provide the guidance and encouragement every student needs to succeed.
