I’m currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in English at King’s College London, where my academic journey deepens my understanding of both language and literature.I have over 3 years of tutoring experience teaching English right from KS1 (Year 1) up until KS4 (GCSE). Working with students of varying ages has honed my adaptability as a tutor, enabling me to tailor to diverse learning styles and effectively meet each student’s unique academic needs. I entirely understand the requirements of the GCSE and integrate exam technique and practise within my lessons.
Clear communication, various learning techniques and interactive lessons are at the foundation of my tutoring technique. Over the years, I have taught students following various specifications including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, iGCSE and the new English Language Lift 2.0 curriculum. My goal is to impart both the knowledge and the love of learning to students, empowering them to take learning into their own hands, independently use the skills they are taught and flourish as students.
For English Language, I focus on honing students’ skills in comprehension, analysis, and writing. Whether it’s mastering persuasive writing, refining descriptive techniques, or understanding the nuances of writing, my goal is to build a strong foundation that not only prepares you for exams but also enhances your overall communication skills. When it comes to English Literature, I help students delve into the world of classic and modern texts. From exploring the themes of Shakespearean plays to analysing poetry and prose, I guide students through analysis, essay writing, and understanding literary contexts. My aim is to make literature come alive, making complex works more accessible and enjoyable.
