Maths

Emma graduated from Oxford University with a degree in Politics, Philosophy and Economics and qualified as a Maths teacher via Teach First soon after.

She has been teaching Mathematics at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 in challenging secondary schools ever since. She taught for 6 years at large Academy where she was Head of Maths and responsible for writing the curriculum and making all resources across the Maths department. She then moved to another successful Academy in London where she was a Lead Practitioner, in charge of helping to create excellent lessons within the Maths department as well as a range of enrichment activities and also responsible for all achievement at the school across Key Stage 3. Emma has a breadth of experience teaching and tutoring Maths at all levels and she absolutely loves it. She is also working this year as a GCSE examiner for Edexcel.

She has also done a lot of work in careers education, personal statements and preparing pupils for university. She also teaches Economics at AS and A level and has been trained in marking Economics exam papers.
