I am a third-year medical undergraduate at the Hull York Medical School with a strong passion for teaching and inspiring students to enjoy learning. Over the past five years, I’ve taught students ranging from early primary school to Key Stage 3 and GCSE, through both 1:1 sessions and group-based lessons, delivered in-person and online. My experience includes working as a tutor at a national UK tutoring centre as well as ongoing private tuition.
My teaching style focuses on breaking complex topics down into clear, foundational concepts and presenting them in small, manageable steps. I make extensive use of active recall and regular low-stakes quizzing, ensuring students truly understand the material and feel confident applying it. I aim to create an engaging, interactive environment where students feel involved rather than lectured at which is a key element in building long-term understanding and exam success.
